OUR CASE
The outcomes for children and young people in care remain subpar. As of 2023, pupils in key social care groups still perform below their peers at Key Stage 4, with even wider gaps for those from low socio-economic backgrounds and BAME communities. Young people from these backgrounds face additional barriers, leading to lower academic achievement and higher dropout rates. Only about 40% of students on free school meals achieve a standard pass in GCSE English and Math, compared to nearly 70% of their peers. BAME students, despite good academic results, encounter systemic barriers in the labor market.
At iRxcruit, we aim to bridge this gap by providing skill development opportunities. Partnering with us allows young people access to training and employment opportunities. Our goal is to close the skills gap and reduce the number of NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) individuals across London.
Our campaign is to financially empower 10,000 young people, by providing education, training, and opportunities in employment and entrepreneurship
