Karyn Kobi-Jackson, CEO of Accounted

Meet Karyn Kobi-Jackson, a trailblazing corporate businesswoman who embarked on her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 17. As the proud owner of Accounted, a fully licensed accounting practice, she manages a dynamic team of 5 professionals. Breaking barriers in a predominantly homogeneous industry, Karyn, a black, young woman, defied expectations by becoming a business owner, while raising a child, at 19.

Accounted

Accounted is not just a conventional accounting firm; it's a cloud-based practice with a mission. Their first objective is to educate, ensuring that accounting is no longer a foreign language. Dedicated to investing time and resources, they empower clients with an in-depth understanding of their business operations, covering everything from stock control to payroll and bookkeeping.

As a small firm, the Big Four is not a distant dream for Accounted. Setting daily targets, Karyn and her team work tirelessly, aligning themselves with competitors' goals. Their high self-belief extends to every business owner or sole trader they encounter. Development is another focal point, with Accounted striving to deliver progress.

The vision at Accounted goes beyond the ordinary; they aim to create a modernised system for the new and evolving entrepreneurial space. Recognising the historical struggles of the accounting industry to evolve, they are here to pioneer something new.

Moreover, Accounted has successfully gained partnerships with Tide banking and swoop funding, enhancing their influence in the industry. The firm ran a highly successful summer internship program in 2023, attracting hundreds of students and sustaining interest in subsequent years. Karyn Kobi-Jackson and Accounted stand as a beacon of innovation, reshaping the future of accounting with their dedication, vision, and impactful partnerships.
